Michael Waltrip Brewing Company Announces Extension with Drag Racing Multi-Time Class Champion, Scott Klingler
(Charlotte, NC, March 17, 2026) Michael Waltrip Brewing Company announces Drag Racing Sponsorship Program with multi-race winning team, piloted by Scott Klingler. The company’s program extends the sponsorship through the 2026 racing season.
Klingler, a Michigan native, has been competing since 2021 and will drive the Michael Waltrip Brewing entry in 12 races this season, including IHRA and NHRA events. The team fields one of only five purpose-built 2019 302 CID 50th Anniversary COPO Camaros. This race team competes in both the Factory Stock and Super Stock categories nationally.
“I’m a fan of all forms of motorsports. If you haven’t been following the Factory Stock category of drag racing, you are missing out on something special,” said Michael Waltrip, founder of MWB. “These are production modern muscle cars running ¼-mile times in under 10 seconds at speeds close to 150mph. What's not to love, I want to drive this car!”
“I’m grateful for the support I receive from all of my sponsors, and Michael Waltrip Brewing Company is no exception,” said Klingler. “The foundation has always been racing, but we’ve found a way to build upon that and construct a meaningful partnership. Now we can leverage that to support opportunities that expand both Michael Waltrip Brewing and my racing program.”
Scott is also supported by VP Racing Fuels, COPO Parts Direct, Rinke Chevrolet/GMC, and Foster Blue Water Oil.
