Bristol Sunshine Tangerine Ale to be featured on Bayley Curry’s Pro Late Model entry
(Charlotte, NC) Michael Waltrip Brewing Company is partnering with Copp Motorsports Development for this weekend’s CARS Tour event at Florence Motor Speedway in Timmonsville, South Carolina, bringing Bristol Sunshine Tangerine Ale to the track as part of the team’s Pro Late Model entry.
Team owner DJ Copp will feature Michael Waltrip Brewing branding on the car driven by Bayley Curry for Friday night’s race, marking the second Pro Late Model start for Copp Motorsports Development. The partnership will introduce Michael Waltrip Brewing and its Bristol Sunshine Tangerine Ale to CARS Tour fans at one of the Southeast’s premier grassroots racing venues.
“I’m looking forward to representing Michael Waltrip Brewing in our second Pro Late Model start this weekend at Florence Motor Speedway,” said team owner, DJ Copp.“The Waltrip name is synonymous with racing and I’m proud to introduce Cars Tour fans to Bristol Sunshine Tangerine Ale.”
Copp Motorsports Development is a driver-focused racing program dedicated to developing the next generation of talent both on and off the track. Built around grassroots racing, the program provides drivers with opportunities to gain experience, compete at a high level and develop the skills needed to advance their racing careers.
Copp brings more than two decades of experience across the motorsports industry, including time working in NASCAR and three years as a NASCAR truck Series team owner. During that time, Copp helped give several drivers their first opportunity to compete in one of NASCAR’s top three national series.
“I’ve always been a big Bayley Curry fan,” said Michael Waltrip. “Watching Bayley be so competitive in his truck starts was always entertaining to me. Now that he’s driving this ride with our beer on the side of it, I’m going to be loving watching even more!”
The Florence Motor Speedway event will take place Friday night, with the race scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. The 0.400-mile track is in Timmonsville, South Carolina. The Pro Late Model feature is scheduled for 100 laps, with coverage available on FloRacing.
